Along with some really enjoyable family adventures, this summer presented our family with several opportunities for sharing the gospel and getting information about the church out to a lot of people.
Personal Evangelism Opportunities
In June we began a weekly study with a newcomer, Marie. She and another lady had starting visiting services on Sundays early in the summer. We set up our first study with Marie and had hoped Alberta could join us as well. She still visits services fairly often, but her work schedule never worked out for her to participate in the study. Our time with Marie was productive, however, and by the end of July she realized she needed to be saved and was baptized. We continue to meet with her weekly to answer some common questions that had come up during the previous studies. We're so thankful for our new sister!
We also had another regularly occurring study this summer that started up in May with a family who lives in Kittery. This has been a fun opportunity to build a friendship with another young family. Their kids are all under 6, so Jocelyn especially has enjoyed their company! The parents have excellent questions and a strong desire to be evangelistic. They are benefitting greatly from the Back to the Bible series we learned to use through the House to House, Heart to Heart School of Evangelism. It will not only help them to be more effective in their evangelism, but it has also been helping clear up some doctrinal confusion for them. We have not been able to have that study every week, but we are working through it as they are able. We hope to finish it and possibly have the chance to further assist their spiritual growth before they have to move in November. That will be hard on all the kids who have definitely grown fond of each other. But we will be praying for this family, that they adjust well after the move and get connected with a good church family in their new community.
Ongoing Outreach Endeavors
A favorite pastime for our family is participating in the local community days by helping with the church's booth. Both the Franklin and Tilton/Northfield community days took place in June, and Sanbornton Old Home Day was in July. It's always fun to watch the kids engaging with everyone, handing out frisbees with the church's information along with flyers for VBS. This effort is so high impact, not just on those in the community, but also for our members. The more timid or introverted members come away with more confidence in their community engagement skills. The kids learn by example how to engage with the lost and have positive interactions with them. The more seasoned members have the chance to set that example as they answer questions and encourage people to come see what the church is all about. Everyone involved benefits from this effort.
In addition to booths at the community days, we let the community know about our upcoming VBS by as many methods as we could. This year we utilized:
video advertising at the local movie theatre,
cards and flyers,
social media advertising, and
email advertising to encourage website engagement.

We're really trying to make sure we use as many of the tools available to us as we can. It's been wonderful having more people, with various talents, helping in ways we never could have done just a few years ago. We've doubled in size since 2020, and the extra manpower has been a tremendous blessing.
Vacation Bible School
Speaking of extra manpower, we want to give a heartfelt thank you to the Mt. Juliet church of Christ for sending a team of helpers again to give us a hand with VBS. They always do beautiful work helping us decorate the building, perform skits, and much more. They also helped us with a service project for one of the widows in our congregation who is a recent convert. Her daughter is not yet a Christian, but she got to see the body of Christ in action and we hope it made a positive impact on her. The Mt. Juliet crew tore down the rotting deck and side steps from their house, and cleared away lots of debris from her yard. This new sister, Hollie, was in tears seeing all these young people she doesn't even know showing up for her like that. Later, after the crew headed back to TN, we constructed a fresh deck and set of steps for her and installed them, so she now has stable structures on which to get in and out of her home.

We always thoroughly enjoy our time with these helpers from Tennessee in the preparation phase and during / after the event. We had 20 kids in attendance and the feedback was really encouraging - they all seemed to really enjoy themselves. Thanks again, MTJ!
We will be posting more on the outreach and evangelism happening in the Lakes Region area of New Hampshire in the near future. Comment below if you have questions - we'd love to hear from you!
God bless,
